And the Question is...

Does anyone still use scroll rods & frames? Because I have a K's Creations Lap Frame that stretches to AT LEAST 28 inches across (it goes to probably 36--but I only have rods for 28") that I no longer use. I bought it because I was in a BAPs mood, and was working on Terra de France by Annick Abrial (back when it was FREE!!), which was 247 X 401! This was also back when I used aida cloth, so... when I got to the first part that required 'over-one' stitching... pfffttt... forget it!! And it has been sitting idle for YEARS!

So I was thinking that maybe I could find it a new home! I paid over $80 for it, but I would be willing to part with it in a creative way--perhaps paying for only shipping and packaging OR if you live in or around me (Virginia Beach, VA) we could meet, OR ??? I am open to suggestions!! Is there ANYone interested in this? I don't believe international would be a smart thing, so will not be considering that alternative. Please comment or email me if you are interested in procuring a barely used Lap Frame!

3rd Blogoversary Giveaway!

Okay--been mired in bills and paperwork for hours, so now before I go to bed, I am going to post the blogoversary information. Tomorrow I celebrate THREE years in Blog-dom, and I must have a Giveaway. So, what better thing to do than to offer THREE charts that I have finished this year! First is Little House Needleworks, Bee Sampler. Next is Country Cottage Needleworks, Christmas Carols. And Last is Ink Circles, This Heart of Mine. I may add more, we shall see...

To enter, you MUST be a follower to my blog and then just Reply on THIS POST ONLY by tomorrow evening. I will draw the winner around this time tomorrow. Quick and Easy!

Can finally show a Birthday Present I made

Yesterday spent the afternoon at a friend's house, Darlene, where we celebrated my birthday on the 8th and Sheryl's birthday on the 10th. It has been hard to resist giving Sheryl the stitched gift I had finished months ago, but I was patient! Plus I needed it framed, and that wasn't done early on. Anyway, this is a design by My Big Toe, self-titled "I Am" and I gave her a book called, "The I Am God" to go along with it. I think she liked it... Thanks to Darlene and Jennifer for the wonderful birthday presents, and to all for the promise of future stitchy pressies! Hugs!

P. S. My Blogoversary announcement will come shortly!

More Finishes to show

I finally finished the Ink Circles 'This Heart of Mine' piece. I was on the last stretch and realized that I had messed up in the very beginning, which would affect what I needed to stitch. So, I improvised. Don't much like it, but it was better than THROWING IT OUT! I believe that will be the last piece I do on Aida!! Next is a birthday present for a Fellow February Birthday stitching buddy, Pat. It is a design by Sherry Senicar Designs. Funny, I liked it so much, I bought TWO! It is stitched over one on 25-count evenweave. I used DMC colors, just picked out of the pile to be put away... I sure hope she liked it! I am now working on Willie's Quaker 2. I sure do like this quaker piece! I think I should finish it next week. It stitches up fairly quickly, as long as I keep my eye on it and NOT the t.v.! The fabric I am using is fairly loose-weave and using the Q-snaps is messing me up, so am now going to do it 'in-hand'. My 3rd Blogoversary Giveaway will be announced on the 15th, and ended on the 15th, so stay tuned or you will miss it!! Hugs, Maggee

Really--I have two finishes to show, but...

I finished two pieces as of yesterday, but today found out my boss and the founder of the company where I work passed away, and I am just emotionally exhausted. I personally hope it snows enough tonight and into the morning so we don't have to go in, cause it is weird and so sad there. Maybe I will post pics tomorrow. Hugs, Maggee
