Fine-ly framed by Patti

I had 3 pieces framed. First is the LHN monthlies, with March in the frame at the time. I have done the first 3 so far. I will swap them in and out of the frame. Think I may keep it at work, NEXT year, when they are all done. May not be timely done for this year, but they will get done... Next is 'Time for God' by Lizzie Kate. LOVE it! And last, is 'My Quaker House' by Blackbird Designs. Again, LOVE it! It is BEAUTIFUL! The frame is PERFECT for this piece! Notice my initials in purple? A little deviation from the pattern... sure they won't mind! Okay, that's all for now folks. Hugs.

Finishes I have done (photo heavy!!)

I have done a lot of stitching and then finishing. From February, I did a sweet piece by Heartstring Primitives called 'I will stitch you in my heart' for hubby. Made it into a hanging cushion-thingy.. He has it hanging on his lamp by his chair. Next is 'Sarah Tobias', by Blackbird Designs, made into a pincushion. And... 'Welcome Spring' also by Blackbird Designs, in the Sarah Tobias Book... This adorable piece that I adapted is by The Sampler Girl, and it came as a freebie when you bought the shamrock marking pins, which I absolutely LOVE! And the backing fabby was perfect! Got this cute little Bent Creek piece done in a jiffy. It is called 'Jig of the Ladybug'. Easter time I actually had a seasonal piece done! A freebie, cannot remember by who... will search it later. But it was too cute. Next is 'Woolly Sampler' by Homespun Elegance. It was a spring version of the one I did at Christmas, which I absolutely enjoy. Who can resist? Hope you are enjoying seeing all these... Hugs.

First I am going to show the other WIPS I have been working on. I wanted to have a summer-y piece done this year, so have been plugging away at Sunflower House by Blackbird Designs. I am more than halfway done, so hopefully before summer starts... Then, I have been working a little bit on my Christmas piece for the Christmas Design SAL . It is called Blessings Be Thine and is also by Blackbird Designs. Next I will post finishes... got lots of them!

Stitch into the Night at Dyeing to Stitch

Last night, my LNS, Dyeing to Stitch, had a Stitch into the Night event. We had a delicious dinner prepared by Ann, one of the owners, we managed to stitch a little--I stitched on Alla Turca by Pelin Tezer, and we even played Bingo games. I won one of the games, the Four Corners one. Below is what I won: a tote bag by Namaste (they make those colorful accessories for holding scissors, needles, etc. of which I have 3!!), a tape measure by Namaste, 3 patterns and one piece of fabric. Yay!
A fun night, hated to leave... as usual! I went home and stitched a little more on my BAP, Alla Turca, an older freebie by Pelin Tezer. Below is a picture of where I am... have not touched it in about a year. But I love stitching it! The Gloriana silk thread, Red Clay, is so soft and it is showing up so well. I WILL finish it this year! Will post more pics to catch up on the past month! Stay tuned! Hugs.

Back with news about a Giveaway!

I have my new computer now, and am trying to catch up on everything. Just filed taxes on Monday--first time we owe! What's up with that?? Make less $ , get screwed?? Sigh... ANYway, my LNS owners are also the owners of R & R Reproductions, and R&R is hosting a Fabric Giveaway! TWO Fat quarters of one of their wonderful fabrics will be given away at the end of this month! All you have to do is comment on their blog: Dyeing to Tell You. Go now! I was first!!

I have been stitching and finishing during this long absence. Just have to get the pictures on here... Loading software takes the longest. And I had a bunch! Be patient--I will work on it! Till later...
