I could just scream!!

Blogger has GOT to learn how to play nice with iPhone!! I have MANY pictures I took with my iPhone of finishes that, even though I flipped them when editing, STILL show up sideways!! I refuse to post them, and need to retake them with my camera! Ticks me off!!! So, suffice to say, I finished L-O-V-E, had Christmas pressies that I sewed for my stitching buddies to show you, and pictures of my two 'A New Day' presents in their new respective homes to show you... But, I am tired, and the light is not good now, so they will have to wait until later in the week.

Thank you for all the suggestions about RAK's. I am still pondering it...

How Do They Do It???

MY inquiring mind wants to know--how do stitchers RAK other stitchers, without getting their addresses on purpose?? If I want to gift a fellow blogger that I have NOT met in person, what's the fun in asking for their address when you want to surprise them? I don't get it and have been pondering it over and over... I put it out to all of you... I will consider all options before I take action...

It's late, so off to bed for me. More this weekend. Lots of pictures to share!

IHSW and finish #3!!

Well, I did not get much stitching done this weekend as I was out of town, but I needed the break! It was IHSW weekend, so without further ado... here is a picture of what I stitched this weekend:

(dang blogger--it is sideways again! From my phone. Sure wish they would play together!)It is 'Feather Your Nest' by With Thy Needle, on 32-count Taupe and called-for DMC threads. I am not sure I am liking the colors here... I wanted a cooler red. I think I will play around a bit before I start getting into the bird. I love this piece tho!

Next is a little small I finished last week by Maria at The Stitcherhood. It is the last freebie in the seasonal series. I must make it into a pin cushion soon so I can display it while it is winter still!

I am starting to make the letters L-O-V-E for my wall hanging. It shouldn't take long to do them--using Lizzie Kate chart 'Love Crazy". Have had that one for a while.

Well, off to stitch a bit before bed. Work is so stressful...tires me even more than normal.

Finish #2!

I finished this little cutie tonight--called Swirly Heart by Waxing Moon Designs. I used a scrap of white 32-count belfast linen and Weeks Aztec Red thread. I thought about stitching it again, but we shall see. Meanwhile I moved on to another small. It is all I can concentrate on right now... Layoffs and cuts in benefits at work are making me uneasy! Won't be stitching at work anymore... sad face... Plus the person that was diagnosed with chicken pox last Thursday was back at work today? Hello??? Was that a long enough break? One work day and a weekend??

Been sick but stitching!

Been home with bronchitis since Wednesday, but did lots of resting, and I feel better. On the positive side, the perks--I completed my first finish of the year! And it is one of my 2010 Vacation WIPS--Cabin in the Woods by Bent Creek. It doesn't look like it is much, but there are a LOT of stitches in that piece!! Used a piece of 32-count Cafe Kona fabric and DMC threads. I like how it looks, and can hardly wait to frame it! Hubby likes it too, so we will probably go shopping together on this one.

Now on to the next piece--what SHALL it be?? Been going through stash, organizing and such, and finding charts I won't ever do... so that must mean another giveaway cometh! Have to think of a clever post name, so stay tuned!

Pay it Forward Recipients/Players

I just could not resist including more than two people to my Pay It Forward. So, I have FOUR recipients to play with this year! Cucki, Maureen, Shari and Joyce! Big Thanks to Karen for starting this fun PIF! On a different note, my boss was fired today! Not good! If you pray, do a little one for me that I stay employed. It isn't easy to get a new job in these times. Hugs, Maggee
