Finishes and a Giveaway

I have done some finishing and finished some stitched projects. Cannot show all of them, as some are exchanges, but there are a few!

First I finished Bee Sampler by LHN. It has gone out as a RAK, and she should get it this week. I think it is pretty cute! Love the mini rick-rack by R&R!

Next I finally made Jolly Holiday by Lizzie Kate into a cube! This is my second cube--the first is coming later in this post. I have ribbon for a bow, but don't like it and may shop for something different.

Then I have stitched two pieces for the Pumpkin Patch Breast Cancer Blog (see my sidebar) and ultimately for the Breast Cancer Auction Jean holds at The Attic in the fall. I haven't decided how I am going to finish-finish them yet.

And today I finished stitching Cast Your Cares by My Big Toe Designs! One of the Up for a Challenge pieces! Yay! I am going to get it framed and give it to our Aunt Mabel, who has dropped hints about receiving a stitched piece from me! Finished my patriotic piece by Blue Heron designs into a cube--my first! I followed the great instructions given by Vonna on her finishing tutorials blog.

And I finished the tiny Freedom stitched piece into a pin cushion! Unfortunately, the picture of the back fabby is blurry--I may take another picture tomorrow...

I have stitched, finished and given my PIF's to their recipients already, but forgot to take pictures! So, I went back and got one... so far! This piece is by Barbara Ana Designs, and it suited the stitcher perfectly. Word has it that Darlene went to Woodstock, and she loves butterflies. A fun pairing!

Now, to the Giveaway! July 25th is Threading the Needle Day, and in honor of this Great Holiday, I am having a Giveaway! I am giving away the chart for Cast your Cares by My Big Toe Designs AND a piece of 32-count Antique White Linen 13 X 15 which should be large enough to stitch it on! To be entered in the Giveaway, you must be a regular follower; and in your post to enter, you must divulge one thing about you that is little known by most people around you! For instance, you also went to Woodstock or something like that! It is all in fun, so do not worry if you get stuck! I will draw a name on the 25th, after dinner.

Thanks for reading if you got this far!

Hugs, Maggee

I love all your finishes, but Bee Sampler is my favourite - this polka dot fabric and ric-rac are ideal for it!
And cube finishes are so cute!

Hmmm, fact about myself mostly unknown... I don't eat cheese and caviar (most strange for a Russian :)), and I'm afraid of sewing machines a little :)

Hugs,
Tatyana

You've been busy stitching up a storm! I love your finishes--especially the cubes. I'd like to try making cubes! Maybe I'll do that next!
Please enter me in your generous giveaway. I'd enjoy stitching that lovely chart. I am a follower.
Most people don't know that I am deathly afraid of sharks--which is odd since we don't have them where I live in Mississippi! But I guess if I was ever around one, I'd pass out!! LOL

The finishes are awesome. My fav is the flag. I need to try that cube finish. I am a follower and a little known fact about me is my senior year of high school summer I snuck out every Sat and TPeed all my marching band friends and never got caught....until months later when my dad found a shoe mark on my windowsill.

Some very cute pieces and finishes! I love when they actually get "finished". I'm not interested in the chart, but I'll give you a fun fact. I went to High School with Madonna.

I have been reading your blog for months. All of your finishes look terrific. I stitched the patriotic flag design a few years ago and it's one of my favorite designs. I'd love to stitch "cast your cares" for my mom. Please enter me in your giveaway, thank you! Most people do not know that I am terrified of the dark!

Goodness, you've been busy! That fabric backing for Jolly Holiday is just perfect!

I'd love to enter the giveaway; what a beautiful design. Hmmm, something most people at *work* don't know about me, anyway, is that I've been a paid actress. Only stage shows and dinner theater, but it's something, LOL!

This is such a great giveaway I hope I win. I have followed your blog for a while now. And something that people don't know about me is that I only went out with my husband, (went we first met)because I didn't have anything else to do that weekend. We have now been married for 32 years.
Happy Stitching

Well... you know I like that pattern. But... I am not sure I want people to know what very few people know about me. I will have to think hard on this one! LOL

Great finishes! Don't add me to the giveaway, but I just had to tell you how great your stitching looks! Also, what colors did you use for the CCN Joyful in Hope piece? I had the kit and it's all in purple and lavender and I'm not crazy about it. It has more meaning and is much more attractive in pink. Thanks!
