Mailed out ALL the packages now

So SOON, when I hear from the recipients, I can finally show the other finishes I have done. And today, I finished another ornament, so I can start work on the next two or is it three? And I hope to have a time of 'finishing' one evening too. It is turning out to be a busy week. Have to get a chest x-ray sometime too...pre-op... Well, at least work was not busy today! Off to cook dinner... Hugs.

One ornie I can show

Yesterday I went to my LNS and stitched a bit... and also gave Debra her ornie I made just for her! I believe she liked it! It is one of the Heart Struck Friends designed my Midnight Stitching, and I stitched it on a scrap of Wedgewood Blue Lugana using DMC and Pearl seed beads. It was an easy stitch, and I just may stitch some more by Marianne!

Hugs.

Nina's Giveaway!

I follow Nina on her blog too, and she is having a fabulous giveaway also. It ends tomorrow, so you will need to visit her blog very soon... Can you tell I am not in the mood for cleaning and shopping today, but have been blog-surfing instead? Seeing all these blogs all 'dressed up' for Christmas makes me want to investigate how to change mine... Maybe I will experiment...? Hugs

Jennifer's Beautiful Giveaway!

I follow Jennifer on her blog, and she has just posted about a fantastic Christmas giveaway! The prizes are so wonderful, you need to go sign up Right NOW!

About WW for 11-25-09

I am doing the 'happy dance' because my husband, who took a fall off a ladder two weekends ago, and hurt his elbow pretty badly, is A-OK! Doctors sent him to an orthopedist this week, and the resulting diagnosis was great! Nothing broken or chipped, only a bad bump to the 'funny bone.' There had been talk of surgery, and I was not too happy because with him down and then me down... ugh! But--YAHOO! He is doing fine!!Happy Dance! Happy Dance!!

I finished five ornaments (out of 10)

I finished my 3 mailing pieces and mailed one out yesterday, to Angela, for our personal Ornament exchange. I neglected to take pictures, so hope she does and I will grab them... Will probably mail the others Tuesday. Now am working on pieces for peoples around here that don't need mailing... Have 6 in all, and 4 left to do! And lastly, I have to begin my leisurely piece for another personal Ornament exchange with April that is not due until 12-30! Then I may do doubles cause some of them are pretty darned cute, and I want them for myself too! :) But no hurry on them. So MUCH calling to me... so LITTLE time. I am going to have surgery on the 10th, so MAYBE I will have a little extra time to stitch during recovery... we shall see... Hugs.

Thoughts on a Giveaway!

I have been wanting to do a Giveaway, and I see that I am near my 100th post, so.... I am going to plan a giveaway! I need to de-stash, and focus on charts I really, really want to stitch. It's amazing how my tastes have changed during the year! (thanks to so many enablers both in person and virtually!!)So, I think I will go through the piles and have a Big Giveaway near the end of the year. I wonder if there will be anyone interested? Hugs.

A Few Words about Wordless Wednesday for 11-4-09

A few years back, my daughter and her family came to my home for a visit. One sunny afternoon, after they had tuckered us out, they asked if they could use chalk on the driveway. So, they made a 'guide' for Grandpa and his boat! It was hilarious to see the reactions! Hugs.
