Day After Surgery

I have GREAT distance vision in my right eye now! It is a little fuzzy every once in a while but definitely improved! When we went to my follow-up appt this morning, I could read license plates!! And I can see SO much better! Driving won't be a problem! Can't read or type or stitch worth a darn without putting on 'some' glasses. I am wearing my old glasses and it is fuzzy, but I can at least see to type. However, I see better when I wear my husband's readers and close my left eye. I don't know what I will do for work tomorrow... have to play around. Hugs

Mailed out packages today

I mailed two packages today. One goes to Theo Houtman for the Foundation which had my two little biscornus in it:

And the other was my Spring Ornament for the Seasonal Ornament Exchange that I joined last month. Of course, no picture yet... I sure hope she likes it!

And I got back my Happy Easter, a Lizzie Kate kit, from finishing... isn't it adorable?

Tomorrow is my first cataract surgery. I am a little nervous. 'Nuf said... Going to go stitch. Hugs, Maggee

Can't Believe a Month has passed....

I really MEANT to write in my blog more often. It is hard to start a new habit, isn't it? Anyway, I have been busy stitching. I finished two and two-thirds smalls for spring, intending them to be for the Seasonal Ornie Exchange I joined. But since it is my first, I find myself doubting that my stitching is good enough or that my partner will like what I send. So, I start another. Of course, I like them all, so it is not a total waste. I cannot show them yet, since I WILL send one off soon. But I have other finishes to show...Finished another Lizzie Kate Flip It, for February. I am just having my favorite framer Patti prepare these now for the frame I already have, and I am just exchanging them out each month. Here is a photo of what is in the frame currently:

And I started another small on this wonderful new overdyed fabric by R & R called Virginia Beach Blend, and am loving it. I have a bigger piece, but this was just a scrap. I am stitching a freebie I saw on someone else's blog, that I think is called Swirly? I am using Dinky Dyes Coral Sea silk. Here is a picture taken just now, at night, so it is kind of dark. The fabric is a very lovely light blue blend and the thread is a blend of blue, teal, and purple. Perhaps I will get a better shot later... but it sure is cute!

I finished a couple of more pinkeeps, from free patterns by Maryse. They were so fun to do and the colors are so spring-y... couldn't resist.

Well, that is it on my stitching for now. Gonna go finish laundry, and watch Au Pair .
